2008 Bordeaux has become an interesting proposition. The prices have become more attractive than at any point in the last few years, and at the higher echelon they seem downright friendly. Unusually, we did not attend the En Primeur barrel tastings earlier this month, having chosen instead to visit Bordeaux and taste and chase bargains from back vintages - more about those some other time but soon. The prices of 2008s we are seeing now, though, are enticing in comparison to offerings of the same wines in previous vintages.
