Tasting the 2007 Erna Schein Knockout felt like a primal, meat-driven experience! Some of the descriptions that we came up with as we put nose to glass were: beef stroganoff, braised short ribs, cedar, spice box, anise, black licorice, clove, black forest cake and venison with a blackberry reduction! This texture-driven wine is powerful yet well structured: concentrated and rich, with molasses, black fruits, cassis and huckleberry, all culminating in a long and lingering finish. 100% Cabernet Sauvignon. 280 cases produced.
Smooth, rich and creamy-textured, this is supple yet builds depth and complexity, offering a mix of fresh earth, currant, blackberry and wild berry fruit, with touches of spice, hazelnut and cedar. Young and tight. Needs time. Best from 2011 through 2018. 93 Points, Wine Spectator

Medium red. Reticent but pure aromas of cherry,
blueberry and milk chocolate. Sweet, lush and rather open-knit, with a rocky, minerally quality and a note of milk chocolate dominating the mid-palate. Seems much more pliant and sweet than the 2006 version. Finishes with rather suave, round tannins and lovely length. A more refined expression of cabernet than the 2006.
