Good saturated dark red. Complex nose melds very ripe red cherry, plum, herbs and a hint of earth, all lifted by oak spice and a peppery nuance. At once fat and juicy, this suave, stylish wine shows a lush texture and deep flavors of red and black fruits. Persistent and perfumed on the very long, peppery finish. This wine will undoubtedly gain complexity and depth with another six months, though it's such an enjoyably sweet fruit bomb you may not want to defer gratification. Extremely well done for an entry-level Rosso. 89 points Ian D'Agata Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar, Oct 09.
