Dry, silky and delicious, but sharp, with a razor cut of acidity through the finish. Otherwise, it’s a beauty, offering red currant, Dr. Pepper cola, pomegranate and sandalwood flavors. Drink now. 87 points Wine Enthusiast 2009-08-12
Regardless of its Sonoma Coast designation, which brings ideas of cooling ocean breezes and brisk bright fruit, this wine is soft and dull and comes with a bothersome earthy overlay that was thankfully avoided in its pricier stablemates above. Nothing here reminds of those wines except for the name on the label-and even that is a surprise. 85 points Connoisseurs' Guide to California Wine Volume 33 Issue 12: October 2009
