"Like I remember them being when I first began enjoying Bordeaux, supple and dry. Concentrated sweet dark fruits, some almost chocolate-y notes and a touch of mineral too. Medium-weight with substance and a pronounce oak character." 89 Points, Rhett Beiletti, B-21 (2011)
Another of the over-achieving estates from a humble appellation, Beaulieu Comtes de Tastes’ 2006 is a blend of 70% Merlot and the rest Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon. Its dark ruby color is followed by soft, round, black currant and black cherry notes as well as hints of spice box and cedar. With sweet tannin and medium body, it is an excellent introduction to a well-made, bargain-priced Bordeaux. Good value. 88 Points, Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
