Chateau Trottevieille (St-Emilion): Proprietor Philippe Casteja deserves accolades for his hard work in upgrading the quality of Trottevieille. A powerful, concentrated, backward effort, the 2003 Trottevieille boasts a saturated ruby/purple color as well as a sumptuous bouquet of blackberries, tobacco, charcoal, and smoke. Layered, rich, and full-bodied with elevated tannins, it should be at its finest between 2010-2023. 90 Points, Robert Parker's Wine Advocate #164 (Apr 2006)
